Ryan Trout is a Democrat running for the Maryland House of Delegates in District 3A. He is a father of two, a homeowner, and a community advocate. Ryan lives in downtown Frederick and is committed to helping working families obtain access to housing, employment, health, affordable food, healthcare, and a quality education.
“As a father, a volunteer, and a leader, I have learned that good health, a quality education, and financial stability are the foundations of a successful life.”
Ryan grew up in a working class family. His dad served 20 years in the US Army and his mom worked odd jobs to make ends meet. His upbringing taught him the value of hard work and the value serving the community. Ryan worked his way through school in his family’s local restaurant. First, while attending Catoctin High School and later, while completing his degree at Mount St. Mary’s University.
